4. Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin, Cardinals
Even though Fitzgerald missed 3 games last season, this duo combined for 2,149 receiving yards in 2006. In 2007, they are averaging nearly 10% more receiving yards per game (162.3 ypg) than they did in 2006 (148 ypg). Young duo that should keep getting better.
5. Terrell Owens and Patrick Crayton/Terry Glenn, Cowboys
It's amazing what T.O. can do when he's happy with his coach/QB. He's on pace for 95-1665-19. Patrick Crayton has filled in well for Glenn averaging almost 15 yards per reception. Terry Glenn should be back at some point this year.
6. Donald Driver and Greg Jennings, Packers
Brett Favre expressed his displeasure for the lack of effort by the Packers front office to go after Moss in the off-season. Although you can't argue with what Moss has done this year, the Packers are doing pretty well without him. Driver is 6th among WRs in receiving yards and Jennings is one of five WRs with 10+ TDs on the season.
7. Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson, Lions
After picking WRs in the 1st round of 4 consecutive drafts, the Lions have landed two of the best young WRs. Johnson has the freakish size and athletic ability that could some day make him one of the greatest receivers the game ever knows.
8. Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes, Steelers
Santonio Holmes is having a solid 2nd season with 7 TDs after 11 games. Widely considered the best blocking WR in the game, Ward is also an underrated receiver. But that's simply part of playing in the Steelers' run-first offense.
9. Brandon Marshall and Javon Walker, Broncos
Brandon Marshall is on pace for over 1200 receiving yards and before his week 3 injury, Javon Walker, had 2 100-yard receiving games. Walker should return to action this week.
10. Laverneus Coles and Jerricho Cotchery, Jets
In 2006, this tandem combined for 173 rec's, 2,059 yds and 12 TDs. In fact, Cotchery and Coles were 1 of 4 duos in the top 15 in receptions last year. The Bengals, Colts and Lions also had 2 WRs in the top 15.
11. Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce, Rams
As one of the older duos on this list, production has started to slip and should continue to do so (especially from Bruce). However, Isaac Bruce had 1098 yards receiving in '06. And Holt has slipped from a top 3-5 WR to a top 10 WR.
