Week 16 Domination Index without Strength of Schedule

Since the Week 10 Domination Index was the released, the Colts have topped the Domination Index every week.  Even in Week 10, they were tied with the New England Patriots at 30.0 points.  One of the eight categories (all equally weighted) in the Domination Index is strength of schedule.  When strength of schedule is removed from the rankings, the Patriots top the Domination Index.  Here are the Top 10 teams when strength of schedule is removed:

1. New England Patriots 18.0

2. Indianapolis Colts 25.5

3. Dallas Cowboys 34.0

4. Pittsburgh Steelers 42.5

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 54.0

6. Green Bay Packers 54.5

7. Jacksonville Jaguars 56.5

8. Seattle Seahawks 57.0

9. San Diego Chargers 78.5

10. Philadelphia Eagles 86.5

Week 14 Domination Index Released

Once again, the Indianapolis Colts (not the New England Patriots) top EDSFootball.com's Domination Index.  That being said, the Patriots are first in 6 of 8 categories.  The Philadelphia Eagles (strength of schedule) and Minnesota Vikings (rushing differential) are first in the other two categories.  The Pats have the 25th strongest schedule and accounts for 61% of their score.  (Each category is weighted equally and therefore represents 12.5% of the possible points.)  The Pats have the 3-10 New York Jets and the 0-13 Miami Dolphins on their schedule in the next two weeks so unless the Colts collapse, it will be difficult for the Pats to move into first place when strength of schedule is included.

Considering you can't control who's on your schedule, here is the Top Ten if strength of schedule were excluded:

1. New England Patriots (16.0)

2. Indianapolis Colts (25.5)

3. Dallas Cowboys (33.0)

4. Pittsburgh Steelers (44.0)

5. Green Bay Packers (46.5)

6. Seattle Seahawks (55.5)

7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (58.0)

8. Jacksonville Jaguars (70.5)

9. New York Giants (81.0)

10. Minnesota Vikings (91.5)
