Plaxico Burress to miss Redskins game

Plaxico Burress will miss the Redskins game with a "sore right hamstring" and Domenik Hixon will start in his place.

This is a big game - but for the Redskins. The Giants are 10-1 and 3 games ahead in the win column over the Cowboys and Redskins with only a month to go. Since the Giants have the NFC East all but locked up, they should be careful to make sure Burress doesn't aggravate the hamstring further.

Plus, the Giants have shown they can play/win without Burress (or seemingly anyone).

In 10 games, Burress has 35 receptions, 454 yards receiving and only 4 receiving TDs. He had 12 TDs last year. Hixon has 21 receptions for 302 yards in 11 games but had 6 receptions last week against the Cardinals.
