Broncos sign RBs Cory Boyd and Alex Haynes

What do Ryan Torain, Michael Pittman, Andre Hall, Anthony Alridge, Peyton Hillis, Selvin Young and P.J. Hope have in common? They are all Denver RBs that have been lost for the season.

In what seemed to be an improbable scenario a few weeks ago has now become reality. One game will decide whether the Broncos make or miss the playoffs.

The Chargers, who barely came back to win at Kansas City in week 15, have parlayed that momentum into a beat-down of the Bucs last week and host the Broncos Sunday. The winner is AFC West champion. (Bet Ed Hochuli won't be refereeing this game...)

In any event, the Broncos adding 2 additional RBs to back up starter Tatum Bell. The Broncos signed Cory Boyd and Alex Haynes (again). Both players were cut recently, but brought back due to the rash of injuries.

Considering the rash of injuries to Broncos RBs, their playoff lives may come down to 2 RBs that have combined for 3 career rushing yards.
