Terrible Towel Incident

The Titans beat the Steelers 31-14 to earn the top playoff seed and home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

During the game, some Titans players stomped on the Steelers' "Terrible Towel" and Jevon Kearse even pretended to blow his nose in it. Titans head coach Jeff Fisher downplayed what the incident meant.
"They don't understand the significance or the meaning of the towel itself to the organization, the Steelers history or the Steelers fans," [Fisher] said. "On one hand, I think they were having fun and just playing with a towel. It was certainly not a shot at the organization or the players or the staff or the fans."
Both teams have earned byes and will each have to win only one home game to meet again for the AFC Championship Game in Nashville.
"When players do things as a result of celebrations, they have to be careful as to not hurt the team," Fisher said.
T.J. "Who's your Momma" Houshmandzadeh wiped his foot with the terrible towel back in 2005 during one of their regular-season matchups. The Steelers beat the Bengals 31-17 in their playoff matchup and won the Super Bowl that season.

Will history repeat itself? Will the Steelers get their revenge? We may soon find out...
