During the game, some Titans players stomped on the Steelers' "Terrible Towel" and Jevon Kearse even pretended to blow his nose in it. Titans head coach Jeff Fisher downplayed what the incident meant.

"They don't understand the significance or the meaning of the towel itself to the organization, the Steelers history or the Steelers fans," [Fisher] said. "On one hand, I think they were having fun and just playing with a towel. It was certainly not a shot at the organization or the players or the staff or the fans."Both teams have earned byes and will each have to win only one home game to meet again for the AFC Championship Game in Nashville.
"When players do things as a result of celebrations, they have to be careful as to not hurt the team," Fisher said.T.J. The Steelers beat the Bengals 31-17 in their playoff matchup and won the Super Bowl that season.
