Jim Schwartz has 2nd interview with Lions

Tennessee Titans defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz had a second interview the Detroit Lions. This time, he faced questions from reporters.

Asked about who he would draft with the #1 overall pick, Schwartz responded “it’s probably time to find a replacement for Bobby Layne.”
“You’ve got to have the right kind of guys who know how to translate it off the computer to the field and play,” Titans defensive end Jevon Kearse has said. “He pretty much has what it takes if you ask me.”
Schwartz has been DC for the Titans for the past 8 seasons. In 2008, the Titans ranked 2nd in scoring defense (14.6 ppg) and 7th in overall defense (293.6 ypg).

The Lions are also interested in several other defensive coordinators - Giants Steve Spanuolo, Vikings Leslie Frazier and Chargers Ron Rivera.
