Rex Ryan, Jets agree to 4-year deal
Rex Ryan, who was expected to become the Jets next coach, has agreed to a 4-year deal with the club. The deal is believed to be worth $11.5 million.

In Ryan's 4 years as Ravens' defensive coordinator, his defense finished in the league's top 6 defenses every year.
This season, the Ravens allowed 261.1 yards/game to rank 2nd behind the Steelers. Their defense finished 6th in 2007 (301.6 ypg), 1st in 2006 (264.1 ypg) and 5th in 2005 (284.3 ypg).
"According to a source familiar with the search, Ryan impressed the Jets -- Johnson most notably -- with his strong personality, detailed presentation and philosophy of aggressive defense."Ryan replaces Eric Mangini, who is now the Cleveland Browns head coach.
