New Broncos GM Brian Xanders made 6 roster cuts, which include 3 defensive starters.
The Broncos cut starters LB Jamie Winborn, who was the team's leading tackler, DT Dewayne Robertson and S Marquand Manual. They also cut DE John Engelberger, LB Niko Koutouvides and TE Nate Jackson.
Selected with the 4th overall pick in the 2002 draft by the Jets, Robertson spent his first 5 years with the Jets before playing for the Broncos in 2008. Robertson, who would have counted $16 million toward the salary cap, had 22 tackles last season and 1.5 sacks.
