Cards franchise Dansby
The Cardinals were expected to franchise Karlos Dansby. Today, they made it offical and franchised him for the second straight season.
Dansby earned $8.065 million in 2008 so he will earn $9.7 million this year if he signs the franchise tag.
Dansby is still eligible to negotiate with other teams. If another team makes him an offer, the Cardinals would have the option of matching it or receiving two 1st-round draft picks as compensation.
The Cardinals have until July 15th to work out a long-term deal with Dansby.
