Cowboys are 1 of 4 teams on Peppers' list
The Carolina Panthers won't be able to sign Pro Bowl DE Julius Peppers to a long-term deal. And he has unequivocally stated that he wants out of Carolina.
So if the Panthers franchise Peppers, which would be likely if they work out a long-term deal with tackle Jordan Gross, Peppers will request a trade.
Today we know a little more about where he would like to go. He said there are 4 teams for whom he'd be willing to play.
The only team he specifically named is the Dallas Cowboys. Reportedly, the other 3 are one AFC team and 2 NFC South rivals.
As Tim McMahon of the Dallas Morning News points out, it would be difficult for the Cowboys to work out a deal without a first-round pick (traded to Detroit for WR Roy Williams) to trade and the Cowboys' intention to make DeMarcus Ware one of the league's highest-paid defensive players.
