Michael Crabtree re-thinking decision to run

When it was revealed that Texas Tech WR Michael Crabtree, the consensus top-rated WR in the draft, had a stress fracture in his foot, Crabtree insisted that he would run the 40-yard dash at his Pro Day on March 26th and put off surgery to after the 26th.

Now Crabtree says that he is "50-50" on whether he'll run for scouts.

His decision to run or not shouldn't affect his draft status much. Crabtree put up monster numbers at Texas Tech and there is ton of tape available on him. He is still the consensus #1 WR and nobody expects him (healthy foot or not) to post a great 40 time.

If I were him, I would let the tapes speak for themselves rather than risk further injury. If he has surgery now (10-week rehab timeframe), there is a chance he'll be ready for rookie camp and/or OTAs.
