Rosenfels deal official, Vikings cut Frerotte

If at first you don't succeed...

The deal that would send Houston Texans back-up QB Sage Rosenfels to the Minnesota Vikings for a 4th-round draft pick is official. The Vikings attempted to trade for Rosenfels last year as well.

Rosenfels was signed to a 2-year, $9 million contract.

So is the starting QB job Rosenfels to lose? Most likely so, but that is to be determined.

One guy that won't be starting is Gus Frerotte, who will be released.

Rosenfels passed for 1431 yards in 2009 and had a 79.5 QB rating in his 6 games played. However, he threw more interceptions (10) than TDs (6).
