Chiefs release David Macklin

Today the Kansas City Chiefs released cornerback David Macklin, who played four games for the Chiefs in 2008 after signing with the team mid-season.

Last week, Macklin was arrested on DUI charges in Newport News, VA after he was pulled over for illegal window tint on his BMW.

While Macklin was not expected to make the team considering the team's depth at the cornerback position, the DUI charges have sped up the decision-making process.
