Earl Bennett struggled learning Bears' plays

That being said, Bennett and I were tied for NFL receptions with 0 in 2008. However, coach Lovie Smith says that he will give Bennett every opportunity to start opposite Devin Hester.

"I struggled [learning] the plays last year," Bennett said Wednesday. "I was lethargic because of it. It probably took me until Week 6, Week 7 to pick them up.He may have taken until week 6 or 7 to learn the plays. He may have played "faster" after learning them.
"Toward the end, I started grasping the concepts. Once you put things aside and just play, you can play a lot faster."
