Herald reports Stallworth was above legal limit
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte' Stallworth was involved in an accident last weekend in which resulted in the death of Mario Reyes.
Stallworth was subjected to alcohol and drug testing as part of the normal procedure involving a homicide resulting from a car accident. The legal blood alcohol limit for the state of Florida is .08.
Per a report in the Miami Herald, Stallworth's blood alcohol level was .12.
Stallworth's attorney Robert Switkes has "no comment" and the Miami Beach police won't confirm the Herald's assertion.
In 1998, Leonard Little, who still plays for the St. Louis Rams, had a blood alcohol limit of .19 when he killed a motorist. He served only 90 days in jail.
The biggest shame in this is that an innocent, hard-working man lost his life. But it will also be a shame if Stallworth killed someone while under the influence yet only gets a similar punishment as Little received.

"That has not been released or confirmed by us," Miami Beach detective Juan Sanchez told the Cleveland Plain-Dealer. "They went with that story without confirming it with us.''The maximum sentence for DUI manslaughter is 15 years. With representation by high-priced attorneys, Stallworth will likely get much less if the Herald report is true.
