Isaac Bruce has "deadline" to decide

The San Francisco 49ers have given WR Isaac Bruce an "informal deadline" of April 1st to decide whether or not he'll return for another season.

Bruce isn't participating in the team's off-season workouts and Brandon Jones, who signed with the Niners three weeks ago, was in the flanker (Isaac Bruce's) position.
"When you've done the things that he's done, you just kind of sit back and weigh your options and try to figure it out,'' Singletary said. "He's still working out "... but he's just making sure he's fully committed when he comes back."
In 2008, Bruce led the team in receptions (61), receiving yards (835) and receiving TDs (7).

Bruce ranks second all-time on the receiving yards (14,944) list behind Jerry Rice and he ranks fifth all-time on the career receptions list (1003).
