Jerry Rice Jr. to walk on at UCLA

College Football Talk is reporting that Jerry Rice Jr. will be attending UCLA as a "preferred walk-on."

Apparently, the only school to offer Rice a full ride was Air Force. He also had the opportunity to be a preferred walk-on at Stanford and Arizona.

Rice, who's 5'10" and 177 pounds, is a good route-runner with good hands but isn't a speed-burner. He is ranked as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com.

Considering his pedigree, it's surprising that more schools didn't take the chance that Rice would develop into someone worthy of a scholarship. After all, his father is the owner of virtually every receiving record.
