Plaxico case adjourned until June
As expected, the case for Plaxico Burress has been adjourned per the request of Burress and his attorney Benjamin Brafman. The case will be postponed until June 15th as Burress and Brafman seek to negotiate a plea deal.
Brafman spoke about the uncertainty of Plaxico's football future.
"There's been a lot reported in recent days, a lot's been said that I don't think is necessarily accurate," Brafman said. "As we speak there is no agreement of any kind. We're trying our best to see if there is a way to resolve the case."Burress is looking for a plea deal that doesn't include any jail time. However, Assistant District Attorney John Wolfstaetter would be open to a plea deal that included jail time.
Brafman spoke about the uncertainty of Plaxico's football future.
"I think that is a decision for him, his manager, and the New York Giants," the lawyer said. "I assume a lot will depend on how, when and if this case is resolved."The Giants have a mandatory mini-camp that begins on June 16th, the day after Burress' court hearing.
