Saints add Paul Spicer

The New Orleans Saints and defensive end Paul Spicer have agreed to a one-year deal.

The addition of Spicer provides the Saints with depth in the event that Will Smith and Charles Grant start the season serving four-game suspensions.

Spicer, who has spent the past nine seasons in Jacksonville, had 34 tackles and three sacks in 2008. For his career, Spicer has 259 tackles and 28 sacks (21 in past four years).
