Steelers re-sign two of their unrestricted free agents

The Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed two of their free agents, tackle Trai Essex and cornerback Fernando Bryant.

Essex signed a two-year contract that will pay him $620,000 and $800,000 over the next two seasons as well as a $500,000 signing bonus.

Bryant signed a one-year contract worth $745,000.

After these moves, the Steelers have re-signed eight of their free agents. Four of the free agents play on the offensive line: Essex, guard Chris Kemoeatu and tackles Max Starks and Willie Colon. The other four players are Bryant, TE/FB Sean McHugh and linebackers Andre Frazier and Arnold Harrison

Drafted in the third round of the 2005 NFL draft by the Steelers, Essex has started five games and has played in 33 games. Drafted in the first round of the 1999 NFL draft by the Jaguars, Bryant joined the Steelers last November and appeared in only two games in 2008.
