Texans give Shaun Cody 3-year deal
Per ESPN's John Clayton, the Houston Texans have agreed to a three-year contract with defensive tackle Shaun Cody. The Houston Chronicle reports that the deal could be worth $6 million.
The move provides the Texans with additional depth on the defensive line.
Cody will become the second D-Lineman and former Detroit Lion to be acquired this off-season. The Texans have also added Antonio Smith from the Arizona Cardinals and ex-Lions QB Dan Orlovsky to back up Matt Schaub.
As the Lions second-round pick in 2005, Cody has started 11 games in his career including four in 2008.
