Channing Crowder speaks for Jason Taylor
Miami Dolphins LB Channing Crowder says that Jason Taylor wants to play for Miami (again).
Taylor, who was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2006, has 120.5 career sacks in 12-year career.
"I went fishing with J.T. two weeks ago; he wants to be a Dolphin," Crowder said. The Redskins, who traded for him last off-season, released Taylor this off-season citing his unwillingness to commit to the off-season workout program. Taylor preferred to stay in Miami to be with his family.
"I would love to have J.T. back," Crowder said. "It would add a whole new dimension to a defense that, in spurts, looked really good last year. He's one of my closest friends. He kind of brought me up in the league when I was a young guy, so I love him to death."The Dolphins received the Redskins second-round pick this year and their sixth-round pick next year as compensation for Taylor last year.
