Chase Daniel signs with Redskins
Undrafted Missouri QB Chase Daniel has signed a free-agent contract with the Washington Redskins.
In 2008, Daniel threw for 4335 yards (fourth in NCAA), 39 touchdowns and 18 interceptions. In his career, Daniel threw for 12515 yards, 101 touchdowns and 41 interceptions.
"Chris Meidt was the guy that worked me out at the combine, and he really liked me," Daniel said of the Redskins assistant coach. "I talked to [head] coach [Jim] Zorn a couple of times. I'm excited about the opportunity they presented."The other Redskins' starting QB is (I guess until the next rumor - Cutler first, Sanchez second, who's next?) Jason Campbell. Todd Collins and Colt Brennan are backups.
"They have three quarterbacks, and any three can make the team," Daniel said, according to The Star. "I'm excited about what's going to happen."
