Dolphins won't trade Brown, White to play to QB?
Heading into the NFL draft, there was some speculation that Miami Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown was on the trading block.
In his best Josh McDaniels impression, Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland tells the Miami Herald that he thinks the rumor started because he has replied to inquiries saying that ''everyone'' is available for the "right price."
Chad Pennington is the starter in 2009, but the Dolphins had previously stated that they want Chad Henne to start by 2010. With the drafting of White, Ireland says that White will battle Henne as the QB of the future.
Beck was drafted by previous regime led by Cam Cameron.
Although anyone can be traded for the right price, it may be that Beck will be traded for any price.

"Before the draft, you have a lot of people calling. Somehow, those things take on a life of their own. ... We're not looking to trade Ronnie Brown,'' Ireland said. "You can write that.''While they won't trade Brown, they'll likely use their second-round pick (West Virginia's Pat White) as his replacement for the Wildcat. When the Dolphins introduced the Wildcat formation in week three against the Patriots, Brown scored five touchdowns (four rushing and one passing).

"They're going to be competing for the position,'' Ireland said.White is the third QB drafted in the second round in the past three years by the Dolphins. However, it's easy to identify which one is not like the other (out of White, Henne and John Beck).
