Karlos Dansby fires his agent
Per Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, Cardinals ILB Karlos Dansby has fired his agent Kirk Wood, who has represented Dansby since he left Auburn.
Somers speculates that Dansby will switch to Eugene Parker, the agent for teammate Adrian Wilson.
Dansby, who was designated with the franchise tag the past two seasons, is seeking a long-term deal and talks between Wood and Cardinals GM Rod Graves were progressing well. In fact, per Somers' sources, a deal could have been completed this week.
It is strange timing to fire an agent this close to reaching a deal.
Dansby led the Cardinals in tackles (119) in 2008. He also had four sacks and two interceptions.
