Bears sign Michael Gaines to one-year contract
Per Brad Biggs of the Chicago Sun-Times, the Bears have signed tight end Michael Gaines to a one-year contract.
In 2008, Gaines had 23 receptions for 260 yards and one touchdown.
"I'll be back in there at Halas Hall tomorrow morning,'' Gaines said on his way back to his home in Detroit. "Honestly, I can't believe it happened. It's just a privilege to be joining an organization with so much history."Although he signed a four-year contract last year with the Lions, Gaines was released by the Detroit Lions this off-season.
