Are the Bucs interested in Marvin Harrison?

According to Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune, rumors have surfaced about the Buccaneers being interested in Marvin Harrison, the free-agent and long-time Colts receiver.

Considering that the Bucs recently released veteran receiver Joey Galloway, who then signed with the Patriots, Cummings calls it a "little far-fetched" that the Bucs would be interested in Harrison.

Furthermore, he believes that Harrison, who doesn't plan to retire, would prefer not to play for a team that is not likely to make the post-season, such as the Bucs.

As Cummings argues though, NFL suitors aren't beating down Harrison's door. It's possible that it may come down to the Bucs or nobody.

From the Bucs' perspective, there is a huge drop-off in production from their number two returning receiver and their number three. The top three receivers from last year that are returning this season are Antonio Bryant (1248 yards), Michael Clayton (484 yards) and Maurice Stovall (25 yards).
