Rod Hood to visit with Lions Monday

Free-agent cornerback Rod Hood will visit with the Detroit Lions on Monday, according to Paul Barrett of the Detroit Free Press.

Hood, who has recently visited with the Bengals and Browns, was released by the Cardinals last month.

In 2008, the starting corners for the Lions were Travis Fisher and Leigh Bodden. The Lions released both Bodden, who signed with the Patriots, and Travis Fisher, who felt like he was given a "bogus excuse," this off-season.

In the off-season, the Lions have added three new cornerbacks - Phillip Buchanon, Anthony Henry and Eric King.

Other cornerbacks currently on the roster are Chris Roberson, Ramzee Robinson, Antonio Smith, Keith Smith and Dexter Wynn.
