Adalius Thomas not "pouring gas" on Rex comments

New York Jets coach Rex Ryan has been involved in a well-publicized verbal spat with Dolphins LB Channing Crowder.

Before that, he said he wasn't in New York to "kiss Bill Belichick's rings."

Earlier in the week, Belichick responded with a simple, "I have a lot of respect for Rex. We’ve always had great battles with the Jets, so I’m sure that will continue. It’s a good rivalry."

While Crowder may get into it with Ryan, Patriots linebacker Adalius Thomas, who played for Ryan in Baltimore, won't.

"It’s funny," Thomas said. "It’s something that you normally don’t see in the media in June so it’s something you (reporters) really jump all over and really go from New York to Miami and then come here with it and expect me to pour gas on it. No," he said with a laugh, "no thank you."

So, if you're keeping track at home, Ryan has now made brash comments about the Patriots and the Dolphins.

It has to be only a matter of time before the Bills are included - and, even better, if it's directed at Terrell Owens.
