According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Sun-Times, it's not only new QB Jay Cutler who would like to see free-agent, troubled receiver Plaxico Burress join the Bears' receiving corps.

So would Cutler's teammates.



''I feel pretty comfortable with what we have here right now," Hester said. ''If we added Plaxico Burress, that's only going to build confidence even more. Why wouldn't he help us?''

Oh, I don't know Devin. Maybe he'll shoot you, himself or one of your teammates. He'll certainly be a distraction with his pending legal troubles, which will likely land him in a jail for a period of time. And he wasn't exactly a model teammate before shooting himself in the leg.

''Talent is talent,'' [TE Desmond] Clark said. ''But the one thing you don't want are bad guys. Just from people I talk to, everybody says he is a really, really good guy.''

Who's Clark talking to? Plaxico? His Mom?
