Per ESPN, Vikings to observe Favre in Mississippi

According to ESPN, the Minnesota Vikings are sending a trainer and a coach to observe Brett Favre in Hattiesburg (MS).

Last month, Favre had surgery to repair a partially torn biceps tendon. However, Favre wasn't feeling 100 percent after throwing sessions he has had recently.

"I am not that anxious," to see Favre throw, [Vikings coach Brad] Childress told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "I am not going to lose any sleep or anything. I don't need mood elevators or anything like that. But you always would want to see that, yeah."

With Favre (and ESPN's reporting of Favre), I try to take everything with a grain of salt. Remember, the "Friday deadline" ESPN reported earlier in the week?

Apparently, that turned out to be a self-imposed deadline for when the Vikings would report to Mississippi - not Favre to Minnesota. Unless, of course, ESPN is just flat-out wrong (again).
