Rams acquire Ronald Curry for Orien Harris

Kansas City Chiefs v Oakland Raiders

Both wide receiver Ronald Curry and defensive tackle Orien Harris are making the rounds amongst the league's worst teams in the NFL in 2009.

After being released by the Raiders in February, Curry signed with the Lions in April. Now, he's been traded to the Rams in exchange for defensive tackle Orien Harris, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Harris was acquired from the Bengals in exchange for Brian Leonard in May.

The Rams, who released Torry Holt this off-season, needed additional help and depth at receiver. Before the trade, Donnie Avery and Kennan Burton, both drafted in 2008, were at the top of the depth chart at receiver.

Curry, who was drafted in the seventh round by the Raiders in 2002, had 19 receptions for 191 yards and two touchdowns in 2008.
