T.O. says a four-game suspension for Vick is "ridiculous"

For a team unaccustomed to having marquee, headline-grabbing players, is it possible that the Buffalo Bills will have two this year?

The Bills opened training camp yesterday with a buzz unseen in a long time for this franchise largely due to the presence of Terrell Owens.

And, when T.O. was asked about the possibility of Michael Vick facing a four-game suspension, it's not surprising that the outspoken Owens shared his opinion albeit with a poor choice of an analogy.

"I think he's done the time for what he's done. I don't think it's really fair for him to be suspended four more games," Owens said. "It's almost like kicking a dead horse in the ground. ... The guy's already suffered so much. And to add a four-game suspension on a two-year prison sentence, that's ridiculous."

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk writes, "... we can't help but wonder whether the Bills have enlisted the man who's already bizarrely beloved in Buffalo in advance of continuing its "all-in" run for a long-coveted Super Bowl title ... by signing Mike Vick in the hopes of providing the ultimate answer to Miami's Wildcat attack."

In May, SI's Peter King made an "educated guess" on five places where Vick might end up. Number 4 on that list was Buffalo.

When asked whether he would welcome Vick, T.O. said: “Well, why not? Again, Michael Vick is a guy that really hasn’t had any character issues besides what he got a prison sentence for, so why not?”

Whether Vick ends up in Buffalo or not, the AFC East is going to be like a quote machine this year. With T.O. in Buffalo, Rex Ryan (and some outspoken players) in Jersey and Bill Parcells, Joey Porter and Channing Crowder in Miami, the only missing piece is Chad Ochocinco.
