Vick conditionally reinstated, could play as early as week 6
When asked about a possible four-game suspension for Michael Vick, Buffalo Bills receiver Terrell Owens called it "ridiculous."
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell did not suspend Vick for four games. Instead, he has conditionally reinstated Vick and Goodell will consider a full reinstatement for Vick by week 6.
Before the regular season begins, Vick can fully participate in meetings and practices and play in the final two pre-season games if he signs with a team. Once the season starts, Vick would be allowed to do everything but play in regular-season games until week 6.
"I accept that you are sincere when you say that you want to, and will, turn your life around, and that you intend to be a positive role model for others," Goodell said in a letter to Vick. "I am prepared to offer you that opportunity. Whether you succeed is entirely in your hands."
"Needless to say, your margin for error is extremely limited," the letter said. "I urge you to take full advantage of the resources available to support you and to dedicate yourself to rebuilding your life and your career. If you do this, the NFL will support you."
Several teams have publicly stated that they are not interested. So, the question remains, who's interested?
