Colt Brennan to IR, Chase Daniel cut
The Washington Redskins have placed Colt Brennan on injured reserve (IR), which will end his season, with an assortment of injuries (hamstring, hip and knee), per Jason Reid of the Washington Post.
With Brennan on IR, it appeared that rookie quarterback Chase Daniel would be the team's third quarterback behind starter Jason Campbell and Todd Collins.
Instead the Redskins cut Chase Daniel, who threw for 12,515 during his four-year college career at Missouri.
Brennan, the team's third of three sixth-round picks last year, struggled in the pre-season's first three games throwing three interceptions in those games. He was 10 of 14 with no picks in the fourth pre-season game.
