Frank Gore left game, X-rays negative
49ers running back Frank Gore was carted to the locker room after suffering an ankle injury earlier in today's game against the Vikings.
Although the X-rays were negative, Gore's return is considered "doubtful."
Gore carried the ball only once for four yards.
With 8+ minutes remaining in the game, 49ers' back-up RB Glen Coffee has 20 carries for 55 yards and the Niners lead the Vikings 24-20.
Coffee, the team's third-round draft pick, led the pre-season in rushing with 249 yards. In his first two regular-season games, he rushed for 10 yards on 10 carries and no touchdowns.
