Hakeem Nicks to have MRI, X-rays negative

Giants rookie receiver Hakeem Nicks, who suffered a foot injury in today's game, will undergo an MRI on his foot. But the X-rays that were taken today were negative, per Ralph Vacchiano of the NY Daily News.

It’s just a test that I’m going through right now with these little knick-knack injuries,” Nicks said. “Once I get past these injuries I’ll be all right.”

“I’m not going to say I’m worried about it because it’s out of my hands at this point,” he said. “It already happened. I can’t get down on myself about it.”

According to Vacchiano, the trainers said the injury to Nicks, who was the Giants first-round pick, was to both the top and bottom of his foot. Hopefully, this injury isn't of the Lis Franc variety, which would sideline Nicks for an extended period.

Nicks had two receptions for 11 yards in his debut.
