McNabb has broken rib; out against Saints?
Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb has a broken rib and coach Andy Reid wouldn't rule out the possibility that McNabb could play next week against the Saints.
"He's sore right now. He's got a broken rib," Reid said, per the Associated Press. "We'll just see how he does over the next little bit."
That being said, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports tweeted (via Pro Football Talk) that McNabb won't play next week.
As ineffective as Kevin Kolb may be, it doesn't make sense to risk additional (worse) injury to McNabb. The Eagles play the Saints next week, the Chiefs the following week and then they have a bye in week 4.
If I were Reid, I'd sit McNabb through week 4 and bring him back after the bye.
