Antwan Odom is out for the season
The Cincinnati Bengals suffered a devastating loss today.
Not only did they lose to the Houston Texans to fall into a tie for first place in the AFC North with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but they lost defensive end Antwan Odom for the season. Odom suffered a torn Achilles in the first quarter when the Texans scored their first touchdown.
“He’s our best player on the line. I sure hope he isn’t out for the year,” defensive tackle Tank Johnson said before the inury was confirmed, per Shannon Russell of the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Odom was tied with Denver's Elvis Dumervil for the NFL lead in sacks with eight. The rest of the team has eight sacks through today's game.
