Poll of the Day: How many rushing yards will BenJarvus Green-Ellis have in Week 15?
If you own Patriots running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis, he has undoubtedly frustrated you this season.
Through 13 games this season, The Law Firm has five games with single-digit carries. Four of those five games have come since the team's bye in Week 7.
Even worse, Green-Ellis has five games with less than 20 rushing yards. Four of those games have come after the bye as well.
That said, Green-Ellis also has scored in two of his past three games for a total of three touchdowns. On the season, he has eight rushing touchdowns and he remains the back that will get the goal-line work.
However, it's harder to rely on scoring touchdowns (unless you're talking about teammate Rob Gronkowski).
This week, the Patriots face the Broncos, who have a much improved run defense and overall defense led by rookie Von Miller, their first-round pick and second overall. Denver is allowing 124.2 yards per game (down from 154.6 YPG last year), but they have allowed only six rushing touchdowns this season. Only the 49ers (none) and Dolphins (five) have allowed fewer rushing touchdowns this season.
How many rushing yards will Green-Ellis have in Week 15? Should he be on your bench?
