Poll of the Day: Who will win the NFC East?
Going into Monday Night Football, four divisions are up for grabs: AFC North, AFC West, NFC East and NFC South.
The first three divisions feature two teams on top of the division that are tied heading into Week 17. In the NFC South, the Saints can clinch it on Monday Night Football with a win over the Falcons. If the Falcons win out and the Saints lose in Week 17 as well, however, the Falcons would repeat as NFC South champions.
Of the three battles where there the top two teams have identical records going into next Sunday's games, only the Cowboys and Giants play each other and each team has control over their destiny. No tie-breaker matters; just win and you're in.
In their first matchup in Dallas earlier this month, the Cowboys blew a large fourth-quarter lead. It was the third time this season that they lost a game in which they had a 12-point (or more) lead in the fourth quarter. On Christmas Eve against the Eagles, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo suffered a hand injury that kept him out of most of the game. While X-Rays were negative, it will likely impact his ability to practice throughout the week.
On the other hand, Giants quarterback Eli Manning has been inconsistent in the past two weeks. In those two games, Manning has thrown only one touchdown and four interceptions while completing only 32 of his 67 pass attempts. The Giants have lost five of their past seven games, but the only game that matters now is Week 17.
In a win-or-go-home matchup, who will take the division and advance to the playoffs?
