Poll of the Day: Will Jabar Gaffney finish the season with 1,000 receiving yards?
Redskins wide receiver Jabar Gaffney has 64 receptions for 919 yards and five touchdowns through the first 15 games this season.
Gaffney, the second-round pick by the Texans in 2002, needs one more reception to tie his career high and his five TDs ties his career best set back in 2007. Meanwhile, he has already established a new career high in receiving yards and he needs only 81 yards to reach 1,000 for the year.
Since finishing with no receptions in Week 13 against the Jets, Gaffney has 92, 85 and 77 yards, respectively, in his last three games. In other words, Gaffney is averaging 84.7 yards per game during that three-game span, which would put him at just a bit more than 1,000 yards for the season.
In his first matchup against the Eagles (Week 6), Gaffney finished with only two receptions for 55 yards.
Will Gaffney get the 81 yards he needs to reach 1,000 yards in a season for the first time in his career?
