Poll of the Day: Will Marshawn Lynch rush for a TD vs. 49ers this week?
I'm not sure which one is more impressive, but the active streaks by Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch and the 49ers run defense are indeed impressive in their own right.
Through the first 14 games of the season, the 49ers have yet to allow a 100-yard rusher or a rushing touchdown. The Dolphins rank second in fewest rushing touchdowns allowed (six) this season. In fact, no running back has rushed for more than 64 yards against the 49ers.
(Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has rushed for a season-high 75 yards against the 49ers.)
On the other hand, Lynch has extended his scoring streak to 10 straight weeks although he only had a receiving touchdown in one of those games. In addition, Lynch was a late scratch in one game after he was already added to the active roster against the Browns. In his last 10 games played, however, Lynch has a total of 12 touchdowns. Lynch has 20-plus carries for seven straight games and he has five 100-yard games within that span.
Will Lynch have a rushing touchdown against the 49ers? Or will the Niners extend their streak for another game?
