Poll of the Day: Will Toby Gerhart have double-digit fantasy points vs. Bears?
Vikings running back Toby Gerhart has a streak of five consecutive games with double-digit fantasy points.
With the loss of Adrian Peterson to a torn ACL, Gerhart will once again be the team's featured back out of necessity.
During the past five games, Gerhart, who was listed on our waiver-wire list this week, has 70 carries for 346 yards and a touchdown. He also had his first career 100-yard rushing game last week against the Redskins. In that same five-game span, Gerhart has 16 receptions for 114 yards and three touchdowns.
In their first matchup against the Bears, Gerhart had only one carry for three yards. Meanwhile, Peterson had 12 carries for only 39 yards but he scored a touchdown.
With the exceptions of Michael Turner (100 yards in Week 1) and Jahvid Best (163 yards in Week 5), no other running back has reached 100 rushing yards against the Bears. Since Week 5, LeSean McCoy (71 yards) is the only running back to gain more than 70 rushing yards against the Bears.
When the Vikings face the Bears this week, will Gerhart extend his streak of games with double-digit fantasy points to six games?
FYI: We will release our Week 17 rankings by Thursday.
