Jabar Gaffney to sign with the Patriots
One day after being released by the Redskins, veteran receiver Jabar Gaffney will be going to the Patriots, per ESPN's Josina Anderson.
During his 10-year NFL career, Gaffney spent three of those seasons with the Patriots (2006-2008) and two additional seasons in Denver with Josh McDaniels, the Patriots' offensive coordinator.
Gaffney set career highs last year in receptions (68) and receiving yards (947) and tied his career high in touchdowns (five). In fact, he has set new career highs in receiving yards in each of his past three seasons.
With the number of options at receiver (and tight end) in New England, it is highly unlikely that Gaffney sets a new career high for a fourth consecutive season.
