2013 NFL Mock Draft (3 Rounds): Tampa Bay Buccaneers Mock Draft
Three months away from the 2013 NFL Draft, all but two teams have shifted their focus to the offseason and draft.
Many sites including ours will attempt to project how the draft will play out and Kevin Hanson has updated his three-round mock draft this weekend. As we get closer to the draft, the plan is to project all seven rounds.
Some of you are fans of the NFL draft and take a big-picture view while others only really care how things will shake out for your particular team. Either way, we got you covered as we will start publishing 32 team posts to go along with our full mock draft for you to be able to follow it whatever way you deem appropriate.
In Hanson's updated 2013 mock draft, here are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers picks:
Pick 13. Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
Not only did Tampa trade away their most talented cornerback, Aqib Talib, to the Patriots, but the Bucs ranked last in the NFL in passing defense (297.4), which makes a pick like Banks logical at this point.
Through his four seasons in the SEC, Banks, the 2012 winner of the Jim Thorpe award, has a total of 15 interceptions, three of which have been returned for scores, in his collegiate career.
Pick 44. Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
Eifert, the winner of the John Mackey award, is the school's all-time leader in receptions (130) for a tight end and has 40 receptions for a team-high 555 yards. Eleven of his 40 receptions are for 20-plus yards.
Pick 75. Chris Faulk, OT, LSU
Although he suffered a torn ACL after the team's first game in 2012, Faulk decided to declare for this year's draft. If it weren't for the injury, Faulk would have gone much higher than this potentially giving the Bucs a steal.
