Alabama CB Dee Milliner to have shoulder surgery after combine
Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner is projected by many to go early in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft and as high as No. 4 to Philadelphia.
Milliner, my top-ranked cornerback prospect, is one of 35 cornerbacks invited to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine, which gets under way with workouts on Saturday. Defensive backs are the last group to workout (Tuesday).
[Note: We will track combine results here.]
Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, Milliner will undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder after the combine.
With good size (6-1, 198), Milliner is a physical corner and he led the nation in passes broken up (20) and was tied with two others for the national lead in passes defended (22).
