Dennis Pitta carted off the field after colliding with safety James Ihedigbo

Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta is primed for a breakout season provided that he stays healthy.

Per Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, Pitta was carted off the field this afternoon after colliding with safety James Ihedigbo.

Wilson wrote, "Although there was no immediate status update on the nature of Pitta's injury, it was serious enough that he had to be helped off the field. As he was carted off the field, Pitta had a towel draped over his face."

Pitta had 61 receptions for 669 yards and seven touchdowns last (regular) season and had 14 receptions for 163 yards and three touchdowns in the playoffs.

With the 49ers trading for Anquan Boldin, the Ravens leader in receiving last year, it should help open up the middle of the field for Pitta.

Pitta is my fifth-ranked fantasy tight end after Jimmy Graham, Rob Gronkowski, Jason Witten and Tony Gonzalez. In my fantasy profile/projection for Pitta, I projected a stat line of 75/870/9 for him this season.
