Chargers WR Danario Alexander suffers a torn ACL

When Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin suffered a torn ACL, his best friend and former Mizzou teammate Danario Alexander helped him put it into perspective.

After all, Alexander had suffered four torn ACL injuries yet had a breakout season last year with the Chargers.

From Week 9 to 17 last year, Alexander had 37 receptions for 658 yards, which ranked 14th in the NFL during that span, and seven touchdowns.

If it weren't for bad luck, however, it seems that Alexander wouldn't have any at all as he has now suffered his fifth torn ACL injury.

Per Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune, Alexander tore his right ACL today at practice.

With the injury to Alexander, it does open up additional opportunities for Vincent Brown, Malcom Floyd and Keenan Allen. Of that group, I like Brown the most.
