Friends of FanDuel Freeroll: $500 in prizes, free entry

One of my favorite ways to play fantasy football is through daily/weekly leagues through FanDuel.

As you may recall, we have set up a couple of FanDuel leagues for Week 1 and we welcome you to participate. When those two leagues fill, we will set up a few more for Week 1.

Compared to (yearly) re-draft and keeper/dynasty leagues, there are some things you won't have to worry about with weekly leagues.

For example, if you have the No. 11 pick in your re-draft league, it's pretty clear that Adrian Peterson won't fall to you. Or if you're in a keeper league and don't own Calvin Johnson, you will likely never own Megatron. Or if you sustain an injury after you complete your draft (and we have seen way too many injuries early in camp), then you're either stuck waiting for a player like Percy Harvin or Michael Crabtree to return or having to cut a player like Danario Alexander or Dennis Pitta.

Team rosters are determined within the confines of a salary cap for a given week and the outcome is determined solely by that week's games. Therefore, you can select any player you want as long as your overall roster is within the allocated budget requirement.

If you're looking for a way to win some cash (without having to risk any of your own hard-earned money), then the Friends of FanDuel freeroll is for you.

The contest has no entry fee and there are a total of $500 paid out in prizes. Whether you're new to FanDuel or not, we suggest you participate in the freeroll.

Want a chance to win $15,000 by putting up only $25?

Check out the Affiliate Bomb. The top 400 (out of a max 4,460) players get paid out and second place is $7,500, third place is $4,000, etc.

[Note: This year, I will create weekly posts on optimal rosters for weekly FanDuel leagues to help maximize your opportunity to cash in.]
